Troy started in the garage door industry when he was 15 years old…
He worked for his father’s best friend who had a small garage door business in Redwood Falls, MN. He worked for him through high school and part-time after that. Troy decided he wanted to make a career out of installing and repairing garage doors, so started working for a small company to get more experience. He then worked for a large garage door company for 8 years to gain more experience and learn the trade in both residential and commercial garage door installation and repair.
Troy saw that there was a market in his hometown of Shakopee, Minnesota for a local garage door repair services. He decided to start his own business and named it Garage Door Man. He has now been in business for over 12 years and continues to grow. Garage Door Man now services not only the Shakopee area, but all of the southern metro area of the Twin Cities.
